Sole-Wielders The Sole-Wielder symbol. Sole-Wielders, also known as ‘Sunshireans’, wield their majique from the sun. The sole-wielders were the first and original majique users and native people of the land of Solaris. They are rare and rumoured to have been wiped out by commonfolk and other wielders, draining their power. That was until the Solegatti siblings arrived in Selene Valley, bearing their distinctive Sunshirean markings. Symbol The Sole-Wielder symbol is an ancient mark bearing the sun. Each triangle represents the majique elements and directions. The circle symbolises the sole/sun and the universe, and the black dot at the centre represents the soul at the centre of the universe. It differs in design princple to the other Wielder symbols due to it being the oldest and lost form of majique. Alignments Cardinal direction: East, as the sun rises. Element: Fire. Season: Summer. Chakra: Solar Plexus. Characteristics Sole-Wielders have feline characteristics, such as tufted hair resembling cat ears, cat mouths and eyes resembling cats and kittens. The sun tints a Sole-Wielder’s hair lighter, so they tend to have platinum hair or natural ombre hair. In Sunshire, they wear ivory white robes with gold sun symbols woven into them. They dress in white, yellow, orange, red and gold. These majique users tend to be warm and optimistic, shunning out any cold and darkness. They speak in the Ancient Solaris language, known as ‘Sunshirean’ language, which is a form of Latin. Ashley and Blake Solegatti learned English and Italian from their ‘commonfolk’ father, Nikolai Sabatini. Sunshire Sole-Wielders live separately from the modern world and technology, opting to live like an ancient civilisation. They have no need for technology because their sun majique powers their society. They live in 'SunShires', a haven for their people. They don't trust outsiders due to Dark Sortileges seeking them out for their light energy, boosting their own power and burning out a sole-wielder to lose their majique, and 'CommonFolk' discriminating against them. In Sunshirean tradition, the woman’s surname is taken, rather than the man’s, so they carry the name Solegatti, rather than Sabatini. The Sunshire Symbol. Majique Abilities: Photosynthesis - Sole-Wielders can grow plants with photosynthesis from the sun’s light. Heat - They can radiate heat with their hands to keep warm and cook food. They can also warm up a room. Light - They can draw from the energy they absorbed during the day to cast light to guide their path in the darkness, until it burns out. Healing - Powerful and experienced Sole-Wielders can heal with the sun’s light bouncing off a sun stone. Fire - The forbidden taboo. It wasn’t believed to be possible as Sole-Wielders deem themselves beings/beams of light. Fire-durable - Sole-Wielders cannot be harmed or killed by fire. Weaknesses: Darkness/shadows - Sole-Wielders are weakened by darkness and shadows, and that also includes metaphorical darkness and shadows with emotions. Winter/Cold - They don’t handle the cold well and can die, so they need to rug up and cuddle up to keep warm like a cat. Many Sole-wielders gain body fat during the cold seasons to keep warm, and slim down again during the summer. Night - With the sun out of their reach, their energy burns out into the night. They have limited energy stored up from the day they can use at night, but when it burns out, it can only be recharged when the sun rises again, like a solar panel. Sole-Wielder staffs: Sole-wielders craft their staffs from sacred oak tree branches that have been touched by the sun or fire. The sacred mystical tree in Sunshire is said to be the world's oldest oak tree. It is believed to be the origin of Majique, and it is where Branch got their name from. Harvestial-Wielders The Harvestial-Wielder symbol Harvestial-Wielders craft their majique from the roots of the earth. They prefer to live a simplistic and peaceful life, grounded in nature. They have excellent spatial awareness, reading the roots of the earth like a map to guide their way. They can sense the presence of people and animals nearby by feeling their vibrations against the earth beneath their feet. They are very-in tune with the body and can diagnose and heal physical illnesses. They can also read the history of who and what they touch. Alignments Cardinal direction : South, as the earth below our feet. Element: Earth. Season: Autumn. Chakra: Root. Symbol The Harvestial-wielder symbol resembles a mushroom, due to their connecting with the earth and the cycle of life, and Autumn being the prime season for mushrooms. CHARACTERISTICS Harvestal-Wielders are rarely seen wearing shoes because their feet are their roots connecting them to the earth. They feel disoriented and unbalanced if their feet can't connect to the ground. Although they can read a room for movement that most others can't detect, they struggle to read the room for hidden emotions and manipulative intentions. They have a lot of patience and tolerance, which can also be detrimental to them. They recharge their energy by sitting at the roots of a tree and focusing on the earth with their five senses. They are also associated with majique mushrooms, and can use them to diagnose and heal people. They are past-focused and encourage us to get in-touch with our roots as an individual and the roots of our ancestors, and the roots of the world around us. We can discover a lot about ourselves and our world from the past to avoid bad history repeating itself. Majique Abilities: Earth manipulation - They can manipulate the earth, but it takes a lot of energy and strength to move greater amounts of earth. It isn't thought possible to cause earthquakes. Wood manipulation - They are able to manipulate wood and trees into other shapes and objects. Reading - They can sense when you're nearby, hearing your footsteps and feeling your vibrations on the earth, and they can read the root of your soul. Juniper does this with her feet. Mapping - They can feel the earth with their feet to navigate their way with the roots of the trees. Touch - T hey have a strong sense of touch. They can identify the deep-seated roots of who and what they come into contact with. Grounding - They are grounded and don't tend to get swept up in the emotions of the moment, and they can help others ground themselves, too. Healing - They are in-tune with the body and can diagnose and heal physical wounds with aid of Majique Mushrooms. Some things are outside of their control though. Weaknesses: Spring/Flowers - They are allergy-prone. Manipulation - Because they are face-value, they take others at face value, making them vulnerable to manipulation. Technology - They can get depressed and overwhelmed by technology. Wind - The wind disorients them. Cities - They are prone to getting lost in cities because of the lack of raw earth and wood for them to connect to and find their way around. They’re nonbinary, not feeling they identify with a man or a woman, but something in between or neither. Although inexperienced, Ashley longs for a taste of life outside of Sunshire and meeting new people to share new experiences with them. Ashley was taught from a young age to help those in need and always do for others. This is one of the main reasons they assist Makayla and go above and beyond to help her, so that Ashley will help others to the detriment of their well-being. Ashley has a bright, sunny disposition and is often cheerful to the point of burying their sadness and ignoring their problems in favor of always being happy. They have recurring nightmares that bring them dread, and they refuse to discuss them. However, this bubbles to the surface when their brother, Blake, tries to control them and shield them from the world; it is their naivete that lands them in trouble with specific individuals.
